Chevy Corvette ZR1 vs. Nissan GT-R
these guys posting on youtube are idiots...
one guy said, theres people running 11.0x already with just ECU and breaking 10s with ECU and exhaust
....the Z06 has ran 10.9x w/ stock tires...

The ZR1 should easily be able to do well in the 10s with a set of drag radials.
With all the evidence mounting against the GTR, I have honestly lost my boner for it. With the lack of real world performance vs. rated times and broken trans with heavy use.
I have always been a Nissan guy. But it looks like my mind has been changed. Not just fromt his thread either. My decision culminates from a veriety of sources and a bunch of research. Makes me sad really. On to bigger and better things I suppose.

I think the GTR is more comparable to the new Corvette Z06. I read somewhere that it beat the Z06 (only) on a road course, but I'm not sure by how much. I do agree, however, that car (no matter how great it performs when it works) is garbage for the $. The dealers will not warranty the work that needs to be done on them and the transmissions are garbage.
The 1/4 mile time for that car, stock, is horribly weak... and that's with the AWD launch.
I'd take that car in my almost 6 year old Z06... i'd even remove some mods.

Skyrhine leghumpers unite!
