and to fast forward. how come its ok for israel to do half the shit they do?

it doesnt matter who wins this election, like the other guy said, because with this bipartisan bullshit the republicans will end up fuckin the country either way.

mccain wins, we are gonna keep the military very much employed and deployed (who knows which war is next)

mccain loses, the rich (see: republican) will fuck the economy even worse than it is now.
First, it's pretty insensitive to say what you said about that dude and his leg. He's not happy about it I'm sure. But, he is man enough to sacrifice himself for others. That's more than you and I are doing right now. And that deserves to be respected in my opinion.

If you were Israel you would be kicking ass and taking names later as well. They don't have time to mess around. They are an island in a sea of radicals.
Blaming Israel is like blaming a gang rape victim. That country is surrounded by countries with people in them that want Israel gone or dead.

As far as our actions overseas, The military should stay deployed for as long as it takes. Yes, that sucks. But it would suck more if they left at this point.
60 years ago, if Americans had the same dissent that they have about Iraq, we'd still be dealing with Nazis today. We have to collectively, back what we are doing there. There will be plenty of time after it's over to discuss why we should or should not have been there. But it's too late now. Let's finish what needs to be done.

Look, I wish the world was all warm and fuzzy, rainbow colored, and tasted like candy...but it's not. It's hard, it's tough, and it's unforgiving. You need to look out for yourself and your friends and neighbors, protect your interest and fuck those up that want to fuck you up. That's the raw truth to it. Thats human history. Wish it wasn't that way. But it is.
If you lay down and and say, "lets all be friends" you'll just get walked on.
Especially if you are the U.S. Everyone wants a piece of our pie and they'll happily take it by any means necessary.

For example, Europe is undergoing a transformation right now, pacifist viewpoints are lending to the destruction of their own societies and cultures. Pick up a copy or "While Europe Slept" Amazon.com: While Europe Slept: How Radical Islam is Destroying the West from Within: Bruce Bawer: Books
Written by an gay American living abroad and a self proclaimed liberal, then ask why are we in Iraq, or fighting against radical Islam. Or why Israel feels compelled to do what they need to do to survive.
Its a very Un-P.C. book that deals with topics far beyond what the news will just report. And it's a good case study for understanding why and what we are doing overseas.

No, I know that Iraq had nothing to do with the terrorism of 9/11. I do know that terrorists had everything to do with the terrorism of 9/11. And Iraq was a known training ground and safe haven for terrorists for decades. And while that should have been enough of a reason to go into Iraq it's not THE reason.

Iraq and Saddam failed to meet UN deadlines for inspection. These were conditions set from the first time we busted his ass up in '91. It's the reason he stayed in power. We let him stay on condition he does what the UN tells him and when the UN tells him to do it. UN said no fly zone, and UN said random inspections. He later says "no inspections, get out UN!" Then the UN was supposed to follow through with military reprecutions. We stepped forward to pull our end of the bargain, as a major player in the UN, but most other countries wussed out. Leaving us with the bag. (turns out France and Russia had backdoor oil deals with Saddam.)

That's why we are in Iraq. Not just because WMD's. We went in because, we said we would if he didn't comply. All he had to do was comply so we could check to see if he really did or did not have WMDs that intelligence from several countries reported (not just the U.S.). He and his huge ego didnt comply so we busted up his ass.
If you say it, you better do it. If you don't, then future Saddam's won't take you seriously. And, that's why we are in Iraq.
