Kimbo only has x3 MMA fights under his name. They don't just throw you in the cage with the top fighters. You have to earn it. Internet fighting does not earn you that fight because you beat a dozen people. Once he proves himself which I feel after another win or two he will. At that time he will get a named fight that people will think will be a test. I wan't to say some known MMA critics even thought Tank would beat him. I can't say that was even a fight. Kimbo ripped him up like he was a little kid.

You don't just walk off the streets and fight the big dogs...I think you've put out a lot of effort proving your a Kimbo hater.... You can't give him any credit regaurdless of who he fights and I bet you pray at night that he'll lose and you'll be able to say awwha....Imagine you were him and had the chance to fight #1 right away.If you lose , it won't suprise the critics but if you won what do you think peoples veiws would be.. "Lucky" and peolpe will always take a negative opposing position against the mainstream. I'm becoming a huge Kimbo "mark" because of how he has created a image and future for his self.He has nothing to prove because he has nothing to lose..There are shows like "pro's vs. joes" and he is the true example of how crazy things can happen if you simply try...I don't remember anyone saying he was the best and couldn't be beatin only the fact that his grass roots "internet" image PROVES he is a realdeal fighter and someone has given him the chance to see just how far his skills would acheive at a pro level... At first, It was a "novelty" booking but he has shed that image and now it's time to see whats up.... He will be fighting
big names very soon . They are they same people that lose some and win some ,but are subject to losing everything as each day passes..
I can't wait until the Rampage-Kimbo fight..I'd give away your first born to see that.. Tito has talked to much shit against Kimbo and God doesn't like a potty mouth.....How about Mike tyson vs. Kimbo ? Tyson was god before prison but how credit do you give him today....

no see youre wrong,i like kimbo,i love his viscious hits, but in my opinion he still haesnt had real real match, im 27,if i fight somebody thats 60,who do you think will win?l never said he sucked,i said he hasent been in a match with somebody in mma at his level and age,come tank and mercer,get real

Well , as i mentioned before.He is climbing up the fight cards to reach the more challenging fighters but has to earn the right to challenge them by fighting the lesser opponents.Thus ,fighters post-prime and novel acts such as Mercer ,are the first logical fights toward harder opponents.
He is simply a fighter with a background that is unique to the sport, a established following of "swing-nuts-Kimbo " fans and this makes for some great ticket selling hype...Tank is no pussy but he is far below the standards of the fighters Kimbo will fight as he progresses. I like to give credit when it's due.
It reminds me of when you beat a car in a race and theres some crybaby saying "whatever" let me see him against this car.. yayaya.... It's never about how well he did but rather the lame argument of what he should do.
Kimbo hasn't faced all of the methods , moves and styles of the entire fight forum and I wonder how he will do . I like several fighters in this forum without having a narrow interest in a single fighter.
Is Kimbo a good fighter?
There is no question whether he's the best or not.Only time and more fights will tell on what scale of fighter he really is...It's not even a issue who is the best.... it's for how long..
Tyson in his prime would kill Kimbo ,most likely in the first round.

Sean Gannon won the fight. Sean Gannon was the one who went to the hospital to fix his tore up face. Kimbo would kick his ass in seconds now that he has some training.

kimbo is an internet legend, as he is promoted, if you put him against anyone who will make him look like anything less it would totally tarnish his reputation since that is his whole allure.
his promoters know this and want to stretch his career out as far as possible by making him fight "legends" but these legends are way past their prime. it has nothing to do with "proving himself" MANY people would love to be on a fight ticket with him because there's a huge purse just for getting knocked out. problem is if he loses or gets damn close to it he'll lose his reputation as being untouchable and will never draw the same crowds again.
people pay big bucks to watch champions and legends fight not average joe with the 5-5 record. legends don't win some, lose some, they always take home the prize
