2.4L Crower billet crank kit with CP pistons, Cosworth fully ported, 1mm oversized valves with specialy made PIPER cams with very high lift. Huge charge cooler. Goes to 8500 RPM way above what's recommended (7500 RPM)for already 2 years witout a problem. boost is up to 47 psi(LESS IN THE MOVIE) with a tomei 1.8mm head gasket. CC 8.8:1. Very high ignition and 1600 cc injectors controlled by a Motec M800 self tuned.

not to take anything away from that evo buuuuuttt..60km/h starting in 2nd is way outta the power on a gsxr grand..second for a pro rider he doesnt seem to get the idea of getting his head down before the run...before this turns into a bike verus car piss off i am just stating facts..o yea and i happen to own a gsxr 750 putting 179 at the wheel so it can be argued i know whats up with bikes!

still even after all of that the bike wasnt putting legnths on him. either way you cant take away from a 4 cylinder that can keep up with a 1000 bike like that. besides the evo has a 42r which takes a long time to spool on a 4 cylinder. even if the bike was 1 gear lower, all he would have gotten was an initial jump, and then not pulled much anymore.
