he is the 3rd Pit i had for my entire life. we got our 1st pit 22 years ago when i was 6. she lived a happy 13 years and died of cancer. when my parents divorced, my mother purchased her own pit. he was such a sensative and loving dog. he dies of a skin disease about 4 years ago. i have had Mack since May of 2002 and i expect to have him a long time. he is from the Razor's Edge bloodline. he is as healthy as can be and loves people more than anything in the world. if something were to happen with him, i will for damn sure purchase another one.

out of all my Pits i have owned and grown up with, never shown agression or hurt anyone or anything. its all in how you raise them.

my father was a professional breeder of pits and he always told me.

"all dogs come with an empty mind, its up to you on what you teach it and how you raise it"

they have made it almost impossible to own a pitbull these days. if you own a home and they find you have a pit, they will cancel your policy. you cannot rent a home/apt with a pit either due their insurance wouldnt cover them.

its a sad way the way they are treated and the perception people have placed on them. i have turned so many people around about being afraid of pitbulls after letting them meet mine, watching him play with my children, and playing with them.

 

i completely agree. put these people in the ring with the creations they have made out of these dogs. they wont make it out alive and they will be wishing until they have their final breath that they actually respected and treated that dog better than they did.

i am an avid pitbull lover and i hope more and more people get on board.

 

this is one of the reasons why i left my american pit in the virgin islands when i moved to tampa in 1998. my brother told me that the pitbull was feared in the states because of idiots fighting them. i was really attached to that dog because he went everywhere i would go...then when i left him home, that was one of the worst day in my life because i really did love my pit. it's just something about them. the right mans best friend the wrong mans worst enemy

 

my boy snoop had him since 6 weeks and wouldnt give him up for any ammount of money.

me and karma(yes shes a bitch) but still they are the most loyal well tempered dogs.

i think its bs the image ignorant ass people give pitbulls....maybe they should start euthanaisng certain groups of people that are known for being "dangerous"

I've had my pit"Baby" for a year and some change. I got her from a friend of a friend that thought he was a little tuff guy wangster, and thought he was going to fight her. Well she had no motivation to fight. So he gave her to me. Shes almost 3 and shes one of the sweetest most timid dogs around. I take her in to all the time so she can pick out her new bone and toy. I've had a lady come near me with a lab a germ shep. and a golden ret. all 3 of her dogs where dragging her barking growing this and that to get at Baby you, and baby just sat at my side wagging her tail looking me in my eyes."you know the look they give us"lets us play lets us play!! please please please" i said no and we walked away proudly. 5 minutes pass and here comes the manager of the store asking me to leave , and that my dog was not welcome here. she said i could take her to the car and come back in. well as i was leaving she followed me and i saw the same lady and i said cause she cant control her dogs i have to leave cause i have a pit.then i said "now your either mad, and your ego is to high to admit that a "pit bull" is better behaved then those dogs" well that really made her happy but besides that i have a 8,9 year old her at the house, they wrestle with her all the time on the ground. shes never hurt them in any way no nibbles no growls snaps nothing. if she sees another dog she just wants to play play play. she plays with a 120lb rott and another pit down the street day long never growls or shows any .
now the sad thing is, is from the guy before in his "training" she got a few teeth in both of her eyes so she has a never ending stoned look she sees a cat or then she gets bright eyed. ill post some pics later on

its all propaganda. and the fucking media. i think its in the farmers that the hospital caused by breeds. pits where like 42 or something like that. fucking where the number 1. its bullshit

you are right about the most loyal dogs. they are an amazing campanion but that have that great sense to protect and will not think twice about doing it. when growing up there was a situation where a chow tried to attack me and brother. we always played outside and my pit would always lay in the yard. we were outside playing ball and this chow comes charging and growling towards my brother. out of nowhere my pit tackles the dog and immediately has the chow on its back with all 4 legs in the air while my pit has her jaws around its throat. my pit was just a small 55lb female this chow was huge. everytime the dog would try to wiggle out, she clamped tighter. me and my brother didnt know what to do. we tried to get her off but she wasnt letting go. after about an hour she let go and stood back. the chow just got up and ran. we never seen the dog again. theres no telling what that chow would have done to my brother being only 5 years old at the time. i will trust my life in my pits hands because he will put his before mine.

i didnt realize TR had this many Pit lovers. its a rare thing these days. people are so afraid for them and they have such a bad name. that piece of shit Michael Vick has only made it worse.

 

Instead of fighting dogs to the death that actually mean something to people, let's fight bums to the death. That would kick ass. Whoever wins gets a sandwich lmfao.
