actualy it is probably the best way i have seen to date to show and let out aggression for whatever reason and not get fined for real violence.
they probably adopted this way of conflict resolution to remove the possibility of real injury while still letting the actual need of conflict to happen.
batters are going to rush the mound of a pitcher who hits them if tensions are high. Benches are going to clear when a fight happens.
why not make a simple set of rules to determine the end of it. All you involved have to hop on one foot until one of you fall then it is over. you wont be fined or suspeneded but this is the way it has to be done. if not, you will be fined and suspeneded or expelled.
it is goofy but I am sure it serves a pupose close to what I describe.
