I go out to talk to people and hang out a bit, but this weekend, it was too much. I would like to see a more local track, that is open late.

Dude, you sound about dumb as shit. " has for being a 1/8th mile....thats where all the real driving is "

More like " Since I drive a honda, 1/8th mile is all I need "

Not trying to bash hondas ( Ive had my share ), but come on, dont say stupid things like that. I mean trying telling that to John Force with a " Real Car ".

Oh and to who ever said that why doesnt some rich dumbass build a track here and make a huge prophit. Well, plenty have already tried, but the city want let them and give stupid excuses such as too much noise pollution, etc...

They need to build one in Pasco county, more land out there than anywhere.

Noise pollution wouldn't be a problem. Theres land as far as the eye can see, and close to Tampa,Spring Hill, New Port Richey and so on!

Like someone once said they won't let it happen. To attack this right Lawyers need to be involved aswell as local news. Media is power, now imagine after that news break followed

" Now many Bay area concerned Parents, kids, Schools and Churches are all getting together to keep the streets safe for families as well as the youth getting into the car craze. We now need all those willing to support to help Patition for a 1/4 mile track to be built in Pasco county"

Man I bet some Millionair out there with a crap load of land would even help!!!! Media is power we just need to use it!

It will take more than just a few of us, but if everyone on this site raised money to get it in the papers and on the news or put a commercial out immediatly following news breaks like this it would work!

We can also try to get the support of schools and Churches etc to pull it off, just a thought

you used it too, good job

if you are really a car guy you wouldnt mind paying 20 bucks to race all night over and over again.if you get to sunshine when the gates open you can easily run 8-10 times...if your shit box can hot lap part of the night.

total cost for me to go to the track
track fee = 20.00
bottle fill=20.00 (if i spray that night)
race gas=10.00 (at the most, will last all night then some)

total=50.00 dollars and this is the most i will ever spend,it just depends on if i spray or not.if im running all motor it will cost about 30.00

so dont bitch about not having a track we have two within 45 min of ccc.

EDIT:THOSE ARE NOT NEW LAWS......I GOT HIT WITH THAT LAST JULY AND THEY HAD THOSE IN ORDER WAY BEFORE THAT EVEN.
damn, and we were on a roll with smart people, but it was just ruined....

i'm not for street racing because of the obvious reasons.
however, I'm not gonna argue against it for your dumbshit reasons.
For all of you that spend so much time at the track, you shoud realize what makes a good track, and what makes a dangerous track. Sunshine was very dangerous. The right lane especially. it bumped, and hooked, and curved. I can find better roads than that in P-park.
The only track that is worth a shit is BMP... unless you wanna drive to orlando....
I agree with the whole, cops need to be doing something about it, beyond writting tickets and taking cars. I wish I could find the link to it, but out in like california (I might be wrong on that) the cops put together, sponsor, and run races every month. They have hundreds of cars out. The cops race. the kids race. the whole nine yard. They set the track up like a street race. and they run races all night. The cops use their "anti street race" budget to pay for it. So it is free for the racers. It has worked like a charm. I wanna say something like a 50% cut in street races in one year.
But where could we do something like that?
How many planes do you see using the run way at 2 am saturday night/sunday morning? Even if they charged a few bucks per car to assist with maintaining the runway, they would still make money. I don't know about you, but I personally think that would be badass. You'll never get rid of "us" you can however, give us a place to do it "safer"
Yeah sure, there are tracks to go to, but what about the crowd of racers that come out in the middle of the night? even if the track was free, it still isn't open when we want it. same goes for those crazy drifters. Stop the drag races for a while and let the drifters do their thing.
Make a big sign that says that you do it all at your own risk. yadda yadda yadda and collect a few bucks per car and have a good time.
