That was one doomed operation. I don't think I've ever seen anything that fubar'd ever.

 

I have watched videos of people cutting their own dicks off and I was highly amused. But this shit makes me sick... Picture yourself in their shoes. The only thing you can do is say "God Help Us"

 

Im thinking that was a contractor cause why the hell would he not have a gun????

 

why the fuck arent these contractors given weapons? why would you agree to go intoa place liek that knowing you will be unarmed?

 

it pisses me off how they can send people into hostile territory without common sense safety measures. no gun, no back up, no passenger, bad communication(he must have said my truck can't move about 10 times). how about calling for a helicopter to wipe out anything that's not in the convoy once they get attacked like that? if we have to fight a guerilla war with our hands tied, we aren't gonna get anywhere /rant

First off that guy volunteered to go there! Civilian contracters make 3-5 times as much as a your average soldier doployed to iraq! I spent 13 months there and didn't make 30k for the hole year. That guy that shot the video I can garuntee you made over 100k for driving a truck over there for one year. If they don't have a gun its their own fault. They are given the opportunity to obtain a handgun. They can quit anytime they want also! If they don't like it they can leave. Call for a helicopter?? Dude helicopters are not just flyin around waiting for something like that to happen. I don't understand this "we" jive you speak of?? Have you been there??? I would think not. How are our hands tied?? There are millions of innocent people there. How could we honestly justify going there to liberate/rebuild a country if "we" went at it your way?? I think there'd be alot of dead civilians and the rest of the world might just turn their backs on america.

guy is a fucking idiot! Protocol was followed in my opinion to a "T". I think things woulda turned out different if he weren't so preoccupied with filming the whole thing. That guy did not go to iraq to help america "fight the fight". He went there for the money! Bottom line!


I don't mean to attack you or anyone else in this post but I can't stand it when people speak about the war, the soldiers or the cause when they no nothing about whats going on over there....end my rant!
