he was saying mph instead of kph so maybe he was talking us money as well. they said that version is 1,000$ cheaper than the regular one and i don't see the regular "gto" being 72,000$

Thx. But we are talking about an import. Just as BMW and Mercedes are much cheaper in Germany. "American" cars are alot more expensive in the UK.
