the 740 isnt all that bad of a platform to use...they've been putting 302's in them for years now for demo derby stuff...kinda been wondering when someone would finally toss an LS1 in.

yea, but you cant really bash em...they are a great overall motor. your not going to squeeze 350whp out of many other engines and still get 200k+ miles out of it, and hell, they will still get 25+mpg.
