The 5.0 would be able to keep up with that no problem... The only reason he didn't is because he would have to drive recklessly as was the DSM driver to stay on his tail... Police don't do that. (Well, they're not supposed to in chases like that)

I would REALLY hope that a turbo'd engine would outrun a stock 4.9 motor, DSM or not. =P
