thats fucking sick for those little mods. It took alot of mods for me to get into the 11.5 area but then again I didnt spend 30k on my car to begin with either.

 

mivec and 16g stock help out alot for making power cheap.

The Evo has much more headroom in it. In stock form it has a much better turbo, better gearing for drag racing, and cam swaps take a few hours tops. Whereas the STi isnt far from maxing out the stock turbo from the factory, requires a shift to 5th in the 1/4 if the car is any faster than stock, and if you want cams you better have the time to yank the motor out first.

You guys spend your $1000 and gain 2 seconds and 15mph. We have to spend a couple grand on a new turbo, injectors, fuel pump, plus all the stuff that you guys buy to get there. And usually we still dont because it seems all the good drivers didnt by Subies.

EDIT: Oh and btw, thanks for making me feel bad with this vid. I thought it was awesome when I got a second and 10mph out of $500.

Spray your car and see how much faster it gets for such lil cost...

No Im saying it has more potential from the factory. This doesnt need to become another Evo vs. STi thread . I dont have the money to fix the parts that spray breaks, so thats out (even though Id love to do it). And as far as the driving comment, go on NASIOC and see how many STi owners are still in the 12s with bigger turbos and more power than that Evo. There are good drivers in the community, but it seems like theyre an endangered species or something.
