This race was a month ago at bradenton motorspeedway during 1320 nite. This race was against me and my friend will. He drives a JDM B16 EF hatch and i got a BONE stock D16Y7 non-vtec EK coupe. It was a close race and he had me by a little. As you can tell he jump the light and took off b4 me. I still caught up. He runs a 16.2 and i got a 16.7. Hope you enjoy the video. Please no hate post. The times seem right for a Ek with a Sohc..But thats a bad time for a B16 Ef..Should atleast be low 15's high 14's

 

Yeah its a JDM B16 with LS tranny. LHT performance put the motor in. I'm still trying to figure why it's so slow. Haven't timed it yet. My motor is stock besides a AEM intake. But to me i think it's stock.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm open to advice on why my friends EF is slow. TO me i think he just can't drive. That myte be a problem. Not to hate on him but he shifts at 7500 RPM. He's afraid to take it all the way to redline.

 

you can take a b16 all the way to 8200 it wont hurt it , at worst in my old b16 ef hatch ran a 15.5, bone stock. that LS tranny probaly doesnt help either. he probaly cant drive it to well yet, he will learn the ways of the torqueless wonder.
