Look kids, it's not my fault it's a video from a much slower car. Every single race the viper braked before it was a run-away victory for the Supra. I don't doubt that it won...I rode in car during the old Hennessey Venom 800/Supra that took place in Houston and San Antonio awhile back. My point was that before he edits his videos to talk shit about how the Viper owner got owned, he needs to get a better video that shows him actually OWNING him.

And 300-series tires don't mean shit. If he were on tire and yanked him, that would be understandable. On days I get over eager, I get yanked and I run 335s on the back of my shitbox too.

 

not a big viper fan myself, i personally think they're ugly. good vid nice kill etc etc etc

edit: also some better camera work or a faster chase vehicle could have been more intuitive.

 

there arent very many cars up in Indy that keep up wiht that supra....haha

 

The Supra was about 200whp down on its normal power level during those races.

I agree that a better chase vehicle would have been ideal, but from what I understand this race was setup a few minutes before they ran.

Well I guess there's always one of these types in any thread, but I'll reply anyway.

I am the driver/owner of the camera car. As noted, it's plenty fast, but like most of our cars it won't keep up with a GT47-80 Supra on high boost. Furthermore, I wasn't exactly wanting to stay too close, as my car was being covered with hot BFG drag radials from these races. Listen to the clicking sound in the 2nd highway pull...that's smoking rubber hitting my windshield. For the same reason I wasn't starting directly behind these guys on the dig race.

The Supra won all 3 races, including the dig race even though they lost the launch by 2 cars on low boost before hitting the boost controller.

 

Well if it makes you feel better, buddy - I'll change my post to better suit what you just wrote. You're streetracing - which means you'll probably get arrested and butt-plugged for it before you die, so stop being a pussy and get some rubber on your car while you can still enjoy driving it. I don't doubt that your car is quicker than it looks - at least I hope to God for your sake it is seeing as how from that vantage point it LOOKS slower than my c5 when it was stock. Carry on.
