sometimes tornadoes do some crazy shit..im from kansas...ive been through a few...the only reason i can think of why the camera was still there is pure luck...there was a tornado once in Hesston right by where i lived....Took out entire buildings...one in particular was a pizza hut...was funny because the entire building was almost completely gone...but there was a table with a cup of soda still sitting on it untouched.....i like watching them tho...i would much rather be around tornadoes than hurricanes...no mass evacuation and flooding..downside of tornadoes is less than a minute warning and WAY stronger winds...very deadly.

 

very true but atleast with ahurricane you get a general feel for where its going to land beforehand. tornatic activity is predictable but unstable

 

Those are great vids. They cameras like said before are aerodynamic. Also heavy. But mainly they are made to not let the wind get in frmo underneath. As long as no wind gets underneath the unit they can't lift off.

 

Very badass. Those guys either have balls the size of small trucks or they are crazy about what they do.
