but is it still technically a hyundai? you cant really call an accord with a v8 a honda...

I'd say it's still a Hyundai. Many of the older ones came with mitsu engines. Believe the Excel came with a SOHC 4g15 or something like that, and some of the older Sonatas had 4g64's, non turbo of course.
