2nd Gen Rx7 + Lt1= Video inside
doesn't seem like he is running 100%, should be alot faster considering my car accelerates alot quicker with 500+ lbs

All the Rx-7 needs is a good rearend and some gears like 3.73 or 4.10 and it will wake up, and take off because it looks kinda slowwww! i cut .3 off my 1/8 mile and .5 off the 1/4 with 3.73 and sum sticky rubber.

Just going through my site logs and seeing where all these hits are coming from.
Anyway, I'm the owner of the LT1 RX-7 in the video. That was taken just a couple of weeks after I finished the swap. I've slowly been weeding out all the bullcrap involved in the swap like a bad coolant temp sensor, chafed O2 wires, etc.
Yes, in the video it looked slow. I'm not arguing that. A lot of it was tire spin (Yokohamas don't squeal or smoke), the rest was the fact that I was only getting about 75% throttle with the pedal to the floor. That's been fixed though
The car dyno'd 371hp on the rotary about two weeks before it popped. The LT1 is probably 75-100hp less, but triple the torque. Driveability is AMAZING.
And to those rotaries who want to race me, bring it on. I'll be at Deal's Gap April 10-12. V8 RX-7 haters get free rides. Everybody else it's a dollar!
