never heard of hp to weight ratio? EF civics and crxs weigh between 1500-2000 pounds when stipped, and even a boosted b16 will put down 500 hp, that will anihalate any skyline that is resonable stock.... not to say that a badass skyline wont completly and totaly destroy an equaly built civic but thats another matter all together.

 

nobody knows exactly what is done to the civic.
In sports compact or import tuner (cant remember) they had a few pages on the zfever r33 syline. It is mostly stock on suspension and brakes, but it is a rb26dett.
The possible power to weight difference does make a big factor. But that skyline might have been reving, but wasnt going to risk nor waste its time with the civic.
Maybe the civic is faster, maybe the r33 is, but this video proves nothing until they line up and go from a dead stop!

we all know if it looks like a civic is beating a skyline then it is.
we all know if it looks like a skyline is letting the civic win then it is.

for all we know that sklyine couldve been a modified TT cause it didnt sound single turbo. odds are it where and rb25, odds are it had somewhere around 325whp. and if hes smart he wont gut out the nissan. but he probably runs mid 13s slipping off the clutch

the civic most likely was built with about 200whp and gutted to all hell. if hes a good driver hell probably run high 12s with slicks. but thats all from the launch. and it doesnt hurt to drop the clutch at 45mph to break the tires loose with stock 13/65r/185H tires.

the race most likely ended when the sklyine stopped trying a second into it or he might have tried. we dont know.

so would the ricers please get off your high horses and stop saying its a legit race and the the civic is soo fucking badass for pulling a basically stock skyline thats probably as old as the civic.

hondas are gay and nissans are over rated. end of story.
