So I didn't watch the full video but I did se the evo winning some races. Does that mean the evo won and took the vette owners $500?

BTW Who cares what he said it has or how much he spent. An Evo beating a vette with spray(which should be 11's if he knows how to drive) means the kid is doing something right. You know he could be lying to the video, there is a thing called sand bagging people. Damn internet thugs.

dude why in the hell would anyone sandbag anyone on videotape, with the domestic VS import war that will never end i just dont see it happening, also to me it looked a little tooooo candid and set up, also notice the high quality of the vid, which means they know what they are doing and have good equipment. but you dont make a video and load it to the web and lie about 500hp, and get ate up like that, the ONLY thing that let the EVO wim was AWD, if it had been a fwd or rwd it would have been a different story. c'mon the vette was a C5 with the bottle on it.........................not that fast IMO

I call I am a previous mitsubishi owner and am getting an evo in a few months. It is possible to run 11's with the stock twin scroll 16g that comes on the car from the factory, but you will need a heafty amount of bolt ons i.e. fuel pump, reflashed ecu, cams, bigger fmic turbo back exhaust etc etc. The 20g kit he is claiming he is running i would not know about as there are only a few vendors who make turbo upgrades i.e. Buschur, vinshu, greddy & apexi. Buschur has multiple stage kits you can buy with dynosheets with there mods some on pump & somne on race gas, but not @ 500 whp. Curt Brown & George Noujaim have the fastest stock turbo evos in the country running 11.502@ 122.00 & 11.598@119.59 respectfully

Actually Curt Brown is running 11.23 @ 123 with the stock turbo.(That's the newest times, DSMtimes.org isnt updated) You are definitally on the right track. But he has aem and blah blah blah. They don't make a 20g bolton kit for the evoVIII,iirc since the evo is a mirrored 4g63 motor.

i agree with you both because all of the main evo's i have seen in all the magazines arent claimng all that much HP, i was thinking that maybe the evo was a shop car or something to be making those kinds of #s, but i have seen gsXs and tsIs do the same thingas well

Who said anything about 12's A stock LS1 vet 6spd with a good driver is good for high 12's. And a vet with spray should be mid-high 11's So I would say the Evo is alot faster then high 12's.

RB motoring and only a coule of thousand other tune companies make turbo kits for the 4g63 that has and or could hit 500 hp.
to assume that they couldn't bolt on a 20g turbo and then exceed 500 hp is proof that your pre-seeded anomisity for the
import movement or envy for the dudes capacity taints your statement . He ran a 12.1 and as mentioned before that number
may not reflect the quoted hp. but the fact is that the very same car pulled away from a car that has how much horse power and runs what in the 1320 stock ? add no2 and what should he run ?
honestly , i think he exaggerated the hp (DSM) , flaunts the $ ,
and the "WHAT WE HAVE HERE " comment is attempt to impress
people or produce a image for his video. don't deny his car is fast
