I worked for the shop (hybrid-racing) in Louisiana that makes the mounts/harness/axles/etc. for that swap. I also own a 96 civic hatch with a k-series swap. The video is real. Why would they post a fake video on their buisness site about the products they sell?
The car in the video ran a 13.5 at 106.7mph on street tires (during the summer of 2004) with the k20a swap. The only modification done at the time was an aftermarket header. At that time the car had full interior. The car was also running open header, hence the lack of any other sound.
Its pretty funny how offended people get when something counters what they think is true. No, I wasnt in the video.

There is no way that the Evo was running 22psi. At that boos tlevel it would have not only walked the cibic, but you wouldn't have been able to hear the vtech over the boost from the in Evo shot.

So the evo was on the side of the interstate, they were filming from both cars, and they ran multiple times (in different lanes) all by coincidence.
Stock evo's trap 100mph. 3psi on the stock turbo does not = 7mph.

I don't know about you, but it seemed to me that the "evo" was an automatic. Wait a min, an automatic evo? They don't make those…Either it was fake in my opinion, or he just wasn't getting on it. You would have heard something, or it would have remotely looked fast.

Tell you what, I'll be HAPPY to race someone in a stock, or MBC 22psi EVO in the Louisiana area. I am trying to go to daytona beach this march (for spring break tuner bash), if anyone wants to meet, I'll be happy to then as well. Might as well use it as an opportunity to meet people on the forum....I lived in Tampa/Bradenton for 9 years.
A stock exhaust evo is not going to drown out that car with open header. A k-series with open header is loud enough to get techs at dragstrips to cover their ears. Ask me how I know.
