Umm a Skittle is faster/better looking/more reliable than a DSM? Pick one!

How do you know they are more reliable? They are only a year old, of course they aren't breaking yet. You have to remember with dsm's you are dealing with 13 year old cars that have awd. 13 years takes it toll on parts that are already stressed as it is. Faster? How many skittles are running 8's? How many street skittles are running 125+ traps? How many skittles are cutting 1.7 60' times on 195 wide street radials, not even drag radials? And for looks, I'll take my galant vr4 over a skittle anyday, a skittle looks like a damn yeast* infection pill or something. Sorry to dissapoint you though.

Well like youy said the car has only been out a little over a year. Things are still being developed. There are LOTS of Skittles in the 11's some in the low 11's.

I have only seen like 3 DSM's in the 8's and they were all done at the same shop. After 13 years I would hope you can tune those things right in.

Reliable? People have put down 500+ HP and not walked the crank. Sound fimilar? Not on a DSM Forged pistons stock? Not on a DSM...

I could go on.

What's your schedule for this weekend? I can show you a fully stock bottom end and fully stock head with just cams, and stock intake dsm put over 500hp to all 4 wheels. And the motor is 13 years old, well see how impressive skittles are in 13 years. And you have to remember some of the skittles parts are based off of mitsu technology. Shep has one in the 8's and he only has one car. There is an evo in the 9s with a stock block just built internals. I could go on also. Yes awd trannys suck, let me see dodge make one and see how long it lasts. And you can put a dsm in the 11s with under $5000 including the price of the car. You cant even buy a skittle that cheap. Should we start a dsm vs skittle topic? And the thing about skittle is, put it on the street and it doesnt do shit unless its from a roll, dsm still preforms the same. Either at the track or on the street. Any of you skittles over in tampa race on the street? I'm sure I could get some dsm's to come over there for money races.

What good is reliability if you can't do anything with it. Skittles are useless on the street. All they are is a supra but fwd instead of rwd.

Sadly, I will have to agree with this one to an extent....

I still like my Skittle I am just giving you grief. After 05 they are not making them anymore. So I guess it will just be my little collectors item. My eBlue was only made on 04 too

PSI Motorsports is working on a multi boost program to help with the traction issues. Their test car is currently running like:
17-19 1st
20-22 2nd
23-25 3rd
etc...

I am guessing their car will be the first in the 10's this year. They are testing new TB's and intakes right now.

I agree...
If they were RWD they would be a god send!
