That s351 puts out 495 horses as it is delivered, with some work done to it, I'm sure much more can be made.

does anyone have more info on the dsm?...good kill by the mustang, but i'd really like to see some more solid proof on the 520 whp claim made about that car, as some people tend to embelish alot, i.e. the "800 whp" fwd light show spyder that got massacared by a 600 whp trans am....if i were to guess i'd say the dsm was luck to make mid-high 300's, not that i know anything about DSM's though

That was not a 500hp DSM and it was AWD(short gearing) they went from about 20-25mph to about 90mph. The DSM may have had 350whp or so

 

I love it when people that have no idea who they are talking to say stuff like this.

The owner of the DSM is a friend of mine, he dyno'ed at around 530 whp.That race was from 40-130 MPH, the DSM was running race gas and 35 PSI boost.The Saleen owner is very tight lipped about his mods, but its estimated by the locals to have 700+hp.

From what I hear, the Saleen guy can launch that car like its glued to the road, so I don't think the DSM would have much of a chance from a dig either.He's very smart also, doesn't matter whether he racing a 16 sec car or a 11 sec car, he will only win by a car length or so.
