Why didn't the Lightning drop a gear when he nailed it? I would think the auto tranny would have went down a gear at that RPM.
Oh well, he really stuck his foot in his mouth. Not to mention the Lightning has the aerodynamics of a barn. Those e46 M3s are real nice cars. I wouldn't mind getting a hold of one someday.

i was just wondering i people actually think of power to weight ratios our just talk out of their asses.they both have similar hp i think m3 has 333 weighs about 3300 pounds and the lightning has 380 but weighs 4600 pounds so do some math.

Power to weight is a factor to consider. But once the vehicles are rolling it does not play as big a part as it would if the race was from a dig. My old 88 Lincoln MK VII LSC would be toast off the line racing a same year Mustang GT (Both have the same 5.0 HO motor). But from a roll I could hang with it no problem. I think the Lincoln was about 800 lbs heavier.

yeah the lightning probly have a roling advatage considering all the tourqe it has
