Another idea is baking soda vinegar bombs which im sure in one form or another everyone has done. Its alot safer and still fun. Me and my friends toss them around to scare ppl and stuff. You fill like a 20 oz. bottle half with vinegar and then you rap baking soda in a paper towel then drop it in and cap it and shake it up. It better because it builds tons of pressure but you dont have the risk of it blowing up in ur hand or i have never had one do it and we had them sitting around forever.
this is the best thread

Its Basically two kids or three with a 3/4 full pepsi bottle with dry ice added and close lid. Throw and boooommm! Its pretty loud. Its like taking empty two liter jugs and taking the cap off and puting one of those tire vavle stems threw the cap and screwing it on the empty bottle and fill it up with air till it blows up. Its as loud as a sawd off shotgun. TRUST ME its loud.
I used to do that 10 years ago. But instead of dry ice and coke I used Pool acid(Muratic) and tin foil. Cool thing is that with acid you only need a small amount say 1 cup and make tin foil cigaretts and pull them in the 2 liter, shake and run! Good times.
