Nice svt by the way. I like those alot alot.
Most ls1/6's don't respond well to boost, it takes a lot of money to get serious power from s/c or t/c from an ls1/6.

The ls6 was making 550RWHP on 8 lbs of boost and exhaust. A stock ls6 is 405 at the crank, so figure about 365-380RWHP.

A 180RWHP improvement isn't taking well to boost? uhhh okay

Why do you think it's only at 8lbs and 550rwhp? Because if you turn up the boost more things go wrong, reeeeal fast.

You know how much that s/c setup probably costed him to get there? Probably 10-12k, probably more ... he coulda done h/c + spray and been soo much faster. If you want boost on an ls1 it isn't worth it over juice.

intercooled prochargers are $6k.

To get any more than 550rwhp you're going to have to spend big bucks no matter what. Even with h/c you're at around $5k to start with. People get 750 reliable HP on stroked/blown ls1's, so I don't really see what your point is. Anyone can put 16 psi of boost into a forged v8 and make big HP.

6k for the procharger ... thennnnnnnn this and that, tuning . then your 10k+.

Your arguing with the wrong person here ... I havn't read a lot on them lately so I have forgotten a lot about it, but DaTruth has posted a lot about the problems with boosting an ls1... cost is a huge determining factor.

It's widely known .. it's cheaper and easier to go with spray on an ls1.

EDIT: Where are all these people with street/reliable 750hp blown/stroked ls1 .. they're probably at the bank wondering where all their money went... Seriously though, where are they? I'd really like to read about them.
