well i know it's measured from a standstill, but if you look closely, his leap when he's nearest to a standstill is around 3 feet, so you can figure he's got another inch or two on his true vertical leap, or at least i figured that way.

 

vertical leap, blah blah blah. Someone needs to post the vid of Vince Carter jumping over a 7'1" French guy in the olympics! He did drag his junk up the side of the guy's face, but he made it over!
