it would have. It would have got a nasty launch on the Cobra that was spinning from there till 50 feet up the road but when it caught traction it would be the start of the STi's ending from there...

 

Lets not even consider this thread as legit... everyone knows a evenly moded STI would Eat "ANY" COBRA for breakfast lunch and dinner... sorry can't beat the AWD... its toooo sticky!

 

What? The Sti starts out with the horsepower disadvantage and drivetrain loss of AWD. It would get a nice launch, but if they stayed in it as most do, it wouldn't matter.

As said by Jordan it has a disadvantage anyway being that it is awd and has that upper loss in power because of 4 wheels moving instead of 2....

This is how the race would have went from a stop even if the STi was on drag radials all the way around..

STi hooks and leaves the Cobra by like 3 to 4 cars and then the Cobra keeps spinning and spinning then all of a sudden whaddda ya know? BANG, it grabs the ground like a bat outa hell and that Eaton starts to feed the 32 valves and make its 400 hp+ depending on all the mods he had. STi then is toast like 7 seconds later... I am sorry that Cobra will walk any damn STi that is stock and or modded to that of what was in the vid if he was modded.

Its just not feasable to think otherwise.

EDIT...I just watched the vid again and ahh 470 hp will be running some nice tens there homeboy..No stock STi will ever run that...

 

Yeah, i think i remember "blades" from a couple months ago, it was a high school kid who's dad bought him an 03 and then he paid for the mods on it himself :o He made his own compilation vid and it was either on this forum or another (or both) where a bunch of people were calling him a spoiled rich kid and giving him a really hard time about owning an 03 and being in high school. He of course made some weak comebacks and at the end of the day he is was SR240SE said he is.
