Actually, if you knew anything flounder, you'd realize ford cars do have more torque than much of the competition =p.

hence the larger motor
but its all in the HP
ex.
2 cars, both weigh in at 3000lbs. one has 150hp and 250ft/lbs of torque. the other has 250hp and 150ft/lbs of torque. which is faster?????
That is an awful lot of HP for "only" 29psi on a motor with that displacment.
I put the VE at about 120-125% at 9000RPM to obtain that.
Quite an an achievment with no NOS.
I mean that is really really good VE.

99b16si Read this thread then come back when you know something! jfwy But really, just because you have more horsepower don't mean you'll win in a race. It all depends on where the power curve is. Torque is better for launches and acceleration. While horsepower , is for keeping objects in motion going.

I only stated the truth.. i have no need to re-read anything.
i never said chevy or any other car or truck was faster.
i dont need a 101 on Hp an Tq curves.. trust me on this.
for someone who know's so much about this, why do own a b16si motor? get a real motor like a b18b1..
Good bye!
