what a way to ruin one of the most perfect cars ever built. the motor that is in them can be built up to ungodly hp numbers, and still stay lightweight with the 50/50 wieght distribution, as to where the V8 makes it nose heavy (thus ruining all the perfect handling mechanics of the suspension) and adds weight, and basically ruins all that that car is supposed to be. that said its a neat concept, but i just wouldnt do it.

I'm sure you guys are aware the LS1 is an all aluminum V8 and would probably be very close to the same weight of a twin turbo RX7 motor (plus vaccuum tubing
) Either way, V8 cars can handle well too, even WITH a motor swap. A V8 isn't the end of the world. You guys should try it some time.
