Hey your Datsun has a motor swap hehe. Remember this is still a somewhat street car on drag radials. Show me some 8 second cars on drag radials that are full weight full interior factory block and I will be impressed. For some reason, I think this is gonna turn into a import vs. domestic battle. Those aren't my intentions, juts trying to prove a point. -KEVIN-

motor swap/ making a 2.0 into a 2.7... i think a swap would be cheaper...

Hmmm. Chris Crown's turbo charged 4.6 2v(well 302 stroker) goes 8.7's, full interior, stock block with forged goodies inside. Not too mention the countless other turbocharged and bottlefed drag radial Mustangs in the mid 8's with full interior, but aftermarket blocks. Impressed now.

Oh, lets not forget Paul Efantis' drag radial Supra. Still on the IRS, full interior I believe too, not sure though.

Crikey guys, who cares!? There will always be something faster in a straight line. Anything can go fast in a straight line...ANYTHING. It's just a quick Subaru...why do people ALWAYS have to hate. I could buy a fully interiored Lingenfelter TT 427 that runs 8s with a 24k mile warranty...the aforementioned Supras and Mustangs do not impress.

p.s. The block started as a 2.5L, not a 2.7L and from what I heard, the record setting car was not the car at NOPI. The record setter is stripped and runs an inboard air/water IC amongst many other goodies. This car is also expected to hit 8s.

Ever heard of a joke?? Guess I hit a nerve nicely. Did I once say anything negative about WRX's? Nope. Want to know why?? Because I like them, especially STi's. So calm the fuck down and learn to take a joke.

That Chris Crown's car seems impressive. What kind of suspension is he running? Auto? Factory block impresses me, aftermarket blocks don't. Either way, the WRX wasn't meant for drag racing. I would take a notch mustang or old beetle for that. -KEVIN-
