Don't want to subscribe to threads

how do I make it so it doesn't automatically subscribe me to threads......I'm tired of having "reply to....." emails all the time. I know how to unsubscribe......but how do I keep it from subscribing me in the first place.

User CP > edit options > click "no" on email notification default

it should work

when you do that.. it changes it so that the 'subscribe to this thread' option is NOT ticked by default when you post.. check to see if its ticked still..
