how do you delete a post that you started?

 

next to the "quote" on your posts will be a little X (if you posted the post it will be there) and that is where you can delete your post:

 

I don't get that every time!

 

You must be logged in.

When you're logged in you will see that X next to all your own posts. Unless the Mods/Admins have disabled the deletion of your own posts in a particular forum but I seem to see it everywhere I go.
