i know how to add to someone's reputation, how do you subtract?

on the bottom left hand corner under the person's screen name you will something that looks like a scale. click on that and it will allow you add either positive or negative feedback for someone

I just tested your idea, and it would not open up where I could give

What he said wasn't an "idea"...it's how the rep points work. I'm not sure why you're not able to see the rep point window. Or is it just FadedSTI's rep point window you can't see?
