I have a Cobra unit if you want it. I think it goes for like $40.00 but you can have it for $20.00... Only thing you need is an antenna.

That may work..
I always think it would be good to use to get some help if you get stuck back in the woods someplace, as long as there's someone listening

If thats all you need it for then these cheap ones will work, but if you spend some money on a good unit you can talk clear as day to the mexicans.
Some of these douche bags in the woods have ones that are so powerful that when they click the mic it can fry your radio!

ANOTHER FUN WEEKEND IN THE WOODS

ANOTHER FUN WEEKEND IN THE WOODS
I have a Cobra 29 that has been super tuned by North Tampa CB, I have a power mic with it along with a 250 watt rf amplifier. On a cloudy over cast day i have a range of about 40-50 miles. For an antenna i am using a 102" stainless whip.
I want to get one for our rail buggy, but I'll probably wait until I build the new car which will have a body and windshield. The current one isn't very conducive to keeping things dry
. My friends and I were thinking of getting the marine band units since they are mostly waterproof, and have a greater range. We spend most of our time in the Ocala Forest, and figure the greater range would help if we need to call for help. Anybody got thoughts on this?
