92 toyota pickup motor question

Default 92 toyota pickup motor question

i gotta 92 toyota 4wd w a blown 22re and i got a like 86 22r. the intake and exaust are not interchangeable but the heads seem to be. anyone got any info on this? thanx

i think the head will bolt to the 22re block but not sure if your fuel injected intake will work.

you can put the efi mani on a carbed 22r. thats a common conv. for us 22r guys.

just swap the whole 86 engine into your truck and bolt up the efi stuff... it works!

to put a 20r head on a 22r it has to be machined to fit, if you want to talk to someone here in tampa who knows what hes doing, go to toyotaminis.com his user name is grounds and some numbers after that but he posts about everyday and just search around because the forums are dead there and it wont be hard to find his posts. Tommorrow we are going to cam my 22r with a stage 2 trd and 38 weber carb.

oh I thought he wanted a 20r head on his 22r.... well If your 86 motor runs just throw it in your 92? if you really want it efi just swap the manifold and your good

bolts dont line up...im not sure what year the carb on is
