Post up pics of your 4x4 yotas
Picked up a 88 4runner today with 3.0 V6 and automatic.
has a 3 in mexi lift and all sorts of goofy visers and lights.
The guy I got it from says the motor is blown. "It poured water out of motor real fast." haha.. paid $350 for it. enterior is pretty much mint other than a broken center console. Supposedly EVERYTHING works but i doubt it. I checked the oil and it was full of transmission fluid.
he said they turned it over until all it would do was "click click click" checked the battery cable and its rusted and severed just out of eye sight.
he got frustrated and let it sit for a year before trying to get rid of it.
For MLK day. I will be draining and replacing some fluids and a battery and battery terminal. this will be the wifes DD for a few months to a year.. THEN ITS MINE to do whatever i want...

UN-chico-d it.

looks much better now.. even with the shitty 3in body lift

on a good note.. after i replaced the battery leads and body ground. and drained the tranny fluid and replaced it with oil. it turns over.
going to get some NGK plugs and wires and gas and seeing if i can get it to fire.
it has fire but not getting fuel.
put some fuel in the aircleaner and it cranked immediatly. thinking its a fuel delivery problem.
found my fuel problem.. a little more extensive than i was thinking.. but still not bad considering.
corroded and rusted fuel sending unit and pump

pinched fuel line

corroded tank.

enough carnage for today.. . hopefully have it fully operational by the weekend.

i used starting fluid and it fire up for a couple seconds...without it it just cranks and cranks, but its open header and I dont wanna burn a valve so we stopped trying...truck has a 4cyl exhaust but a 3vz swap so it doesn't bolt to the headers. But i replaced the pump, tank, and filter...I think the lines may be clogged the pump comes on but it seems like its still not getting anything to the rails...im gonna start back at the pump and make sure its squirting out. I have a feeling it could possibly be wiring also they appearantly tried o make their own injector harness when they did the swap
