Default Tire Question

What is the biggest tire that will fit on a stock 1992 Ford F-150 4x4? I have heard that the biggest is a 31" with no lift. Some people say you can run a 33" with no lift but I don't think they will fit. I want to lift the truck in the near future but need tires right now so if 33's will fit, then I will go that route because it will look weird lifted with 31's. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks (Jeffronismo)

33x12.5 should fit fine. You might have to trim the bottom corner of the bumper a little bit.

I'd probably agree with that. I'm running 33X12.50's and I've got a smaller wheel well (whole truck actually)....I'd almost suggest a 33X10.50 to keep the turning scrub to a minimum.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up doing a 4" suspension lift and went with some 33x12.5 tires on 15x10 wheels. Can't wait to go get it dirty.
