Default Whats a good 31" tire?

I'm looking for a pair of 31" all terrain or mud terrain tires for my rail buggy. I'm looking for a 31 x 10.5 x 15 tire that is good for sand and has a pretty tough side wall (we do mostly trail riding with lots of roots and stumps that jump out at us). What can you guys recommend? Any shops I should check out?

I'd definitely consider used tires if anybody has any.

Is that price for 2 or 4? Where are you located?

If you want good, get Mickey Thompson's, BFG's, ProComp's etc... All Terrain. You really can't go wrong, just get a tread you like.

If you want something a little nicer with a ton of bite, I would go for a Mud Terrain. Again, just pick a design (or price) you like.

If you want a tire that's designed for sand specifically I would suggest either Interco's Thornbird or Truxus. I'll probably get mixed reviews on this last part, but that is exactly what these tires were intended and designed for. They won't last you as long on the street as say a BFG A/T, but I don't see that as your largest priority.

I personally currently have ProComp Severe All Terrain 33X12.50X15's and haven't had a problem with them yet. In 50,000 miles when I need to replace them, I'm going to step up to either a Mud Terrain or even a dedicated Sand tire such as what I've mentioned earlier, but that's another topic.

Wow, that got knida long, hope this helps, oh, and pictures of the buggy would be cool....

I've used both the bfg all terrain and mud terrain...both great tires and their tread life is excellent. I'd recommend them.
