ok tonight i was running down the road and my jeep started to shimmy really bad..then it stopped..couple minutes later is started back and wouldnt stop until i stopped...its been fine since i bought it a few days back..do i need a new beefy steering stabilizer?or even dual kit?what brand?(stock still on there but not leaking..not sure why original owner left it with 6"lift on 35s) or do the tires need to be balanced? i need this fixed asap..with driving this as a daily driver..cant go down the road feeling like im going to lose control...thanks very much..!!

 

i would check tires for balancing bro biggest cause of shimmying is it a hard jerk at slow speeds and a vibrating shiimy at faster speeds if so then yeah its balance happens all the time with big tires bro.... doesnt cost that much to get them balanced...

 

nothing at low speeds..and then a pretty bad vibrating shimmy at higher speeds...(steering wheel moving left to right,left to right vigorously)so does this mean everytime i take it offroad im going to have to get them rebalanced?thats rediculous..i think im going to order a new steering stabilizer..just wasnt sure if i needed the single or dual..?and go have the tires balanced..i hope its nothing more than that..any more help or suggestions are appreciated!

lol sorry..they are over it..i ordered the skyjacker dual stabilizer kit..should be here 2morrow..and i went to Jeepetos..and they told me my track bar bolt was loose..so i tightened it as much as possible by hand until i can get to some air tools..thanks everyone..just was kinda freaked out when it happened..but its all good now..!
