I highly recommend lockers I noticed a huge difference when I installed mine. I decided to go with air lockers and couldn’t be happier. They give you the best of both worlds street ability and excellent traction in the mud. Two warnings they are on the pricey side and you will find the weak link on your rig when you use them, starting with that d30. It’s a turd, I’m on my third set of axle’s. My next upgrade will be a d44 with a full spool I already have a 44 in the rear and it’s held up quite nicely and probably hold up to anything I’ll throw at it considering the weight of our vehicles. Of course you could rely on a winch and still should have on, but I’m not down with getting out of the truck all day and if your trail riding with a group you don’t want to be the guy getting pulled all the time. Do yourself a favor like TBSpyder said and water proof that tranny, don’t forget the diffs they are vented as well. Just vent those two your snorkel some kits have fittings for them built right in. Before you change your gears make sure you pick your tire size first. I went with a 33’s so 4:10’s was proper selection to correct the gearing. I run 35’s now and and its still plenty of gear I can light them up in second.

Lets go wheelin!!!
