anyone ever go out to the Dunes off of East road by the airport?
i just moved in with a friend up here in SPring hill. there are some wicked awesome sand dunes and just HUGE open areas of dirt and trails to crazy on. we were out there a few weeks ago with my friends WRX, a AWD DSM, 05 Hemi Ram 4x4 and CJ5 jeep. there were several other people out there w/ their trucks, dirt bikes and quads.
anyone else go out to this area? i dont have anything that is good for off-road excursions, so im getting the itch to find something w/ ground clearance and 4WD.

yeah.. i havent been to many areas to go off-roading while down here... but going there makes me want to get another K5 blazer or even a quad, that way i dont have to ride shotgun.

go to east road and Beagle drive in Hudson. go west down beagle drive and take it to the end, and turn left. youll be headed south then. just follow the road, itll turn from packed dirt to sugar sand the further you go and just follow it as it turns into trails. itll take you thru some woods and then out into a HUGE open area. there is plent of water and mud holes. some of them are deep enough to swallow your truck, no lie. if you plan to go thru some water, make good goddamn sure you walk it and make sure it doesnt go deeper than you want to take you truck. make sure you dont leave home w/o your snatch straps and always take a friend. the buddy system always saves your ass. it did last time we went out there.

last time i was there, i think it was a weekday and there were probably 10-15 individuals out their, either with trucks, quads or bikes. we were out there w/ a WRX and an a eclipse GSX.
