Nah Chey's are just fine. I've owned two Chevy cars that were POS's in my view. Grandpa had a '98 1500 with well over 200k on the odometer and never had a single issue. My cousin has a new Trailblazer and it is an awesoem ride. I'm just a die hard Ford guy and liek to stick to what I know.

naw, i would personally go with the 2.2, you'll save more gas and there isent really much of a differece between the 6 and 4 anyways... is it a 5 spd? the 5spd are much quicker but if you own a truck are you really lookin for speed? the 2.2 will last you forever. i know of couple of people who has over 150k alost 200k with no problems still runin strong. those lil s10's will run for ever and you can make them look real good. my 2 cents

buddy of mine has a 6 and can only get me by a truck and a half... for all the gas you waste in the 6 for that extra truck and a half i would still go with the 4. my truck has 147k and im still runnin problem free....... BUMP FOR THE 2.2 4 CLYL

i have a 99 chevy extreme... im new to the site and area. i have the 2.2 w/97 miles and havent had any problems yet. and with gas prices now a days mostly all trucks are gas hoggs but not s10's . i would personally go with the 4cyln from a fellow extreme owner.....
