Question OK, So the dakota took a poop tonight...

The following is a true story about my 1998 2.5L 4Banger SlowKota.....

So I go to the casino with some friends tonight, and my truck is running great as usual the whole day... Well, Ill just say as great as it can for a 2.5L tower of power... Yes, its a 4 cylinder... So its running fine when we get there... We chill at the casino for an hour or two, then come out to leave, and it wont start....

We check the fuel, and the pump is priming just as it should... Then go to spark.... Take the wire off the plug in cylinder one, and shove a screwdriver in it, and NO spark... Check all the connections, fuses, and relays, then try again... Still, no spark... Put it all back together and yell and scream and try to get her hyped up, but she still wont start... So I pull the coil wire off where it goes into the dizzy cap, and oh wait, no spark again... So the coil is not firing...

Is this possible for it to run fine all the way there, and then decide to take a poop in the parking lot while we are inside??? Is there anything other than the coil that it could be??? any more relays or anything I should check????

HELPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

very possible, my gtx coil just stoped working. i would check the leads going into the coil to see if it getting power first.

replaced the coil and it didnt work, so i will check the leads, and if they have no signal, which now im sure they wont, I think the next suspect might be the ecu.... although the fuel pump was priming fine, which I know is controlled by the ecu, at least on my civic...... Who knows... I just hope I can get it fixed soon without having to sell my left nut.....
