Lower
Pros: ? Depending on the look you want, lowering may help your look or style. Also modifying the suspension of a sports car helps with dynamics and handling.. however I really don't think this is the case with trucks.
Cons: Horrible ride. Rough, bumpy, rough turns and curves, floaty feeling, bunny hopping..
You don't lower a truck in search of a better ride, that's for sure. You lower a truck for the look or the style.

^Not really a rough ride just depends on what you use to lower it. If you just chop the springs then yes, it will be HORRIBLE. My fiance has airbags plus shocks on his S-10 and I don't think the ride is bad at all. Its almost the same smoothness as my civic.

I have owned 5 lowered trucks and 2 bagged trucks. I don't know what you guys are lowering with (concrete bags?). If the proper parts and install are used then you get a factory ride if not better. As far as handling increased especially when lower profile tires and a little larger wheel is used. When you lower the center of gravity it helps Especially when larger sway bars are used in conjunction with lowering.

as long as you dont plan on towing . pulling a trailer (unless its jet skis or something) or going of the pavement, basically everything a truck is used for youll be fine.

I'm lowered 4", and my ride is a LOT better than stock.
I'm dropping it to 7" and it'll be even better because of how I'm doing it, but that's my little secret
