Buy an old Chevy. Easy to fix (if they break). 67-72 are the best looking.

depends how big ya wanna go and how abusive you want, obviously won;t compare to a Dana 70 solid front, but IFS is OK, theres a reason baja trucks use it

I've got a 96 Tacoma with just shy of 100,000 miles. So far, 8 years, and the paint looks new, the engine bay looks new, and I've had zero mechanical failures.

I've had this truck 6 out of its 8 years, and it's never been out of my hands (aka, in a shop) besides Goodyear for tires. Damn thing won't die.

Someone on CustomTacos.com joked that 100k is break in on a Toyota motor... Sounds about right.
