i have the crappiest truck (most likely). All stock '95 Nissan XE compact pickup, standard bed, cab etc. 4 cyl 5 spd. i was thinking the other day: I would like to make it into a decently fast 'lil pickup. while i havent the foggiest of how to do this i was wondering if some of the others here that have worked on anything relatively the same would be able to drop some advice my way. the only thing after market on my truck would be the stereo. i thank you in advance and eagerly await any advice.

yes. sr20 - ive seen it done, been told its relatively simple.

 

go for the sr20det

 

i would guess its close to the same swap as in a 240. atleast if the truck uses a KA stock.

the ka (from the 240sx) is referred to as the truck motor since its really similar just with diff cyl heads (i think) so the sr20det swap is apparently rather simple, only the traction probnlem

 

Traction problems can always be made into a non problem.
