Turbo
Where should I go to get a good turbo for my car? I don't know too much about turbo kits so i don't know exactly every part that i'm going to need. Would it be smart to buy Something like the XS turbo kit thats almost 6,000$$$ or just piece by piece? Oh and if your gonna respond with saying something about "rice" than dont even bother. I'm from lakeland and a friend of mine who lives in Tampa told me about this site and when i made a post i got bombarded with people saying my shit was rice, whatever the fuck that means, im just looking for support not a bunch of assholes who think that theyre the absolute shit.
.....Thanks
.....Thanks
dude.. get over yourself.. shit happens is the n00b hazing process.. everyone went thru it.. with that being said..
turbo kits.. the XS Turbo is a good kit.. and they have a warranty... any other aftermarket turbo's are without a warranty and you are running a huge risk. Esp in a high comp engine like the one on the GT-S. but ask around, maybe you can get a custom one for upwards of 2k ?..

If you don't no too much about cars, or how a turbo works, and what is needed to complete a turbo setup, then I wouldn't turbo your non-turbo motor. Turboing a non-turbo motor is a risk, and if you don't know anything about cars, then I wouldnt take that risk.

fuck off all of you assholes who only talk about rice, god damn, for someone who truely has a love for cars and doesnt talk shit please respond, i have seen the blitz supercharger for my car at 5000, and i have seen the xs turbo kit for 4,500....from the same site. why would a super charger cost more? wouldnt the turbo kit be better???? or is it the other way around?
a supercharger i like better because theyre ready to go right when u pop them into ur car. u need to take super careful care of ur turbo if uve got one in ur car. theyre bullshit, and a bitch to wait for when u wanna race

what the fuck are you talking about u fuckin ricer, do you have any idea about anything to what the fuck you are saying, go stick your little dong in your right tailpipe and call it tibby while u slap it.
and the thread has reached a new low.....
Tiburion really hasnt been in a car with a decent turbo kit before... even when i had a T78 in my 300ZX.. it rarely took more than 1.5 seconds to respond.. Keep in mind this was with a 2 inch hole in my exhaust manifold, and another one below the wastegate preventing boost, as well as terribly engineered intercooler piping from the previous owner....
If a turbo is properly sized, has smooth piping, and proper tuning on a dyno, It should respond with full boost in about 1/2 a second or so for most small T3/T4 style setups or smaller.. I really doubt the XS kit is a Full T-Series turbo so chances are it should respond well...
Superchargers on the other hand are driven off of the crank pulley.. they steal some of the engines power to recycle it as boost, it is not as efficent as a properly sized turbocharger in any respect.
In my opinion i would never choose a supercharger over a turbocharger in ANY application.. if u are too impatient to downshift and place the engine in its powerband before racing, then you probabally dont have the mechanical knowledge to undertake any sort of forced induction.
Slash's vote = Turbo, but you should really spend a lot of time researching this before hand to ensure maximum results and durability.
