ok so tuesday night i take my friend out for a spin in the 2 and we get up to about 140mph...get home..my rear left tire stinks like i hit a skunk and lefted it in my garadge. the inside of the tire was worn past the rubber and into the metal shreds. man i was lucky, well my rear suspention has been messed up for awhile now. i put my stock rim back on the rear left. this morning we're going to the beach and i'm driving my friends delsol and i see in my rearveiw mirror the whole back end of the two is sliding around fishtailing, i'm like WTF!!! so we pull over (barly make it to the side of the road) (yes we were racing), so 3 of the 5 lug nuts are missing..ok no big deal. i run home get the jack, and extra lugs, jack up the car... were the lugs screw it, those three bolts were totally broken off. i was sooo pissed, cause i was in a hurry to get to the beach to meet up with some chica's. so we tighten the bolts and get to my house, ripped the whole suspention off of the black mr2, rip the one off of the red one, throw the suspention off the black one onto the red one, and swap breaks, in less then an hour. (i love airtools) we fly out to the beach, and still make it there before the girls!!!!!! hell yea, its was PIMP!!! i'm just saying this, cause i feel i was lucky my tire didn't blow on the road when i was topping it out, as well as the tire didn't fall off and caused a huge acident. at least i get to tell this story..lol
HKSsupra drove by when we were stuck on the side of the road!!

ya damn but what coused you to blow off the studs? a old tire wont do that. a whole lot of heat will like a fucked up break.
also rember bob knoticing your tires where worn. but they wherent that worn, youve been really hurassing that car to get them from where they where last week to the point of blowing up now.

sounds like you forgot to torque your lugnutz.

 

Greg did you take the wheels off it recently. i was assuming you hadent.

 

well i took that one tire off. now that you've mentioned it, its possible they weren't torqueddown al the way

 

I had the same thing happen several times in Jesse's MR2. We don't forget anymore.

 

LOL!!!!!! WERD!!!! i just spent 5 hours changing a clutchon an del sol...yea ohh well honda's are easy to work on.

damn guys!!!!!!!! i got 4 mr2's now but all have blown motors!!!! WTF????!!
