yes there are. they are drag only cars running race gas and bigass turbos with no real powerband or like 300 shots of n2o. you see them at sunshine and lakeland on the regular.

im simply um yeah what? the only fast cars with 3tc's are at the track battling in grudge matches with all the rotary guys. have you never been to one of the puerto ricans from puerto rico vs puerto ricans from the usa events at lakeland? you should go and take a look. and have you ever been to an autocross event, or scca event? you should go. you wont see any 3tc's at the autocross or scca event. but you will see lots of them at the drag strip. 3tc can make good power, but to do so it has an extreamly narrow powerband, and is suitable really only for drag racing. have you ever driven a small displacement engine that makes big power? the cams needed make the car idle like crap, and then the turbo required spools so late that you have to shift pretty much right after you hit full boost.

im guessing you think ive never driven anything with a 4a. well, your wrong. ive driven an ae86 with the basic mods, header, exhaust, intake, springs/shocks, swaybars, etc.. not impressed. and i drove my friends 88 mr2, which handled WAY better, and responded alot better as well, though he had hks 272 cams, header, exhaust, megasquirt standalone, coilovers, swaybars, strut braces, etc... wish i had gotten to drive it after the 20v swap, though from what he told me, the 20v really wasnt the improvement he thought it would be.

if you want a 3tc, go for it. honestly, as mentioned before, you can get anything you want for it. but you can get anything you want for any engine. just some are cheaper than others. honestly, if you want a 3t engine, id try to find a 3tg and really mess with peoples heads when you open the hood. nothing is wrong with being different, but dont expect it to be the best just because its old school. theres a reason everything is always being improved apon. my 6m will be unique, but the best, it certainly is not. if i wanted the max n/a hp possible, id take a 2uz bottom end and put 1uz heads and accessories on it after porting the heads, cams, custom headers, itb's, ms3, etc.... and prolly make 350-400rwhp. instead im using hks parts from the late 80's early 90's, on an engine that was originally designed back in the 60's and gradually improved upon until it concluded in the 7mgte.

btw, has anyone seen the new toyota v8's? they are far more efficient then the 2jzgte. the trucks have a 5.7l version (3UR-FE) that can be equipped with the trd supercharger and make 504hp and 550tq and it is covered under the factory warranty at that power level!
