Default Aristo ecu conversion from auto to manual trans wiring

The car is a 91 Supra running a single turbo Aristo swap. It's been running now for about 9 months with no major tuning issues. I'm rocking the factory ecu.

The problem im running into is that I can't floor it, everytime I give ot 100% throttle it falls on its face. I've done some research and have found some info regarding a neutral safety switch and the ecu thinking the car is in gear or not in gear. If anybody has any information on this could you please chime in. Not too good at wiring but if given specific instructions I can follow.

Any help is appreciated.

your problem is the ecu. this is common of lexus ecu's. take it apart and get the specs for all of the electrolytic caps and order replacements. youll need to change the caps in the ecu.

the neutral safety switch pins need jumped together so the car will start using the factory starter wire. if you can start the car and are using the aristo harness starter wire then it is likely not an issue.

also, what boost are you running? does your engine light come on? what is the code if it does? im thinking you might have a bad tps. also, did you disconnect the traction control? if not you need to.

How do I check if the pins are jumped or not, can you tell me what to check for. I can't get in touch with the guy that made my harness.

I sent both my factory 7M-GTE engine harness and the 2JZ-GTE harness that came with the engine. I can't recall if the starter harness was a separate harness that stayed with the car or not, I think it did but not sure.

Running at 9psi, engine light does not come on while on full throttle but does come on during normal driving after a while. As far as the traction control if you are referring to the throttle body in front of the intake it IS plugged in.

im wondering if somehow the stock ecu isnt engaging the traction control because your not getting signals from the trac ecu. then again, im not that familiar wit hthe trac. it might actually be controlled by the trac ecu itself so might not be an issue at all. as for the wiring, i figured out the wiring for a swap into a mk2 supra. im not gonna use the stock wiring at all (have a ms2 on my current 7mgte swap, plan to upgrade to ms3 for the 2j) but this link should help. it has the pinouts for the aristo ecu. most likely the guy that made the harness just had the 7m starter wire go to pin f1 of the body plug, which im guessing he prolly cut off and just wired to the wire directly to make it cleaner.

heres how easy it is to start an aristo 2jz-gte

i still need to compression test my motor and then plug the vac leaks and run it again for a lil bit. once i do ill strip all the stuff off i dont need and sell it. turbos, fuel rail and injectors, harness, ecu, igniter, upper and lower intakes, oil cooler, motor mount brackets, hydro water pump setup, etc...

Not yet, I've been reading here and there and apparently I gotta check my speed sensor signal first. I know the trans wiring is not hooked up to the main harness and my speedo/odo is out as well so I have to fix that first and see.

if the speed sensor isnt hooked up, it could be the issue. if your running an r154 with speedo cable output, marlin crawler sells a speed sensr that hooks up to the cable output and produces the signal needed.

Man, I just ran into this old thread. Yes I am Christian's buddy and btw if anybody cares anymore the problem was that I hadn't jumped my fuel pump to the high voltage setting. I know it's been a long time but figured I would update.
